Driving into work today, I had a thought about how many songs out there have been played out.  Still, for some odd reason radio stations play them repeatedly and people at weddings get up and dance when they come on.  Granted a few of my selections may be great songs (some of which I liked at one time) by great bands but seriously, when is enough enough?  Keep in mind this all personal opinion and I have many more I'd like to list but I won't.  I'd like to hear other's choices.

AC/DC-You Shook Me All Night Long
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer
Kool And The Gang - Celebration
Sister Sledge - We Are Family

American Pie should never, ever be played again.  Period.

Same goes for Hotel California.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I gave you a karma on that one! Though I like some of their songs,I would have liked to see where US rock and Roll would have developed without all the Beatles influnce mucked up the works and diverted attention to bands that could have used the expoure. The VENTURES should have been bigger than the Beatles!

I'm sending Karma your way for the Eagles choice.  I think all their library should be put away.  Funny thing about them, I like their solo work (Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Glen Frye, etc) 100% more than their collaborative effort.

Although I have his song, Sisqo's Thong Song.  That's one of those songs that you want to hear once in a blue moon.

Our House, ever since that Maxwell House commercial let people "sing" the chorus, I don't want to hear it again

Even though it's not a classic, John Mellencamp's Our Country.  Non-NASCAR fans need not apply

I'll stick to classic rock radio for now:

The entire span of Eric Clapton's solo career. Also "Layla" any and all versions.

"Kashmir"
"Stairway to Heaven"
"Rock 'N' Roll"
"Black Dog"

Any Skynyrd song except "Workin' for MCA" and "Double Trouble"

Bob Freakin' Seger and Eddie Freakin' Money

"Love the One You're With" - Stephen Stills

"Never Been Any Reason" - Head East

Anything by the damn Pretenders, especially "Brass in Pocket"

"With a Little Help from My Friends" - Joe Cocker

"Twilight Zone" and "Radar Love" - Golden Earring

The usual batch of Mellencamp songs, all his songs I like never get to be the radio fodder.

"Tom Sawyer", "Limelight", "Spirit of the Radio", and " Closer to the Heart" - Rush. They have other songs worth hearing.

Bob Freakin' Seger

You know what, if I hear his whining in Turn The Page one more time I'm going to rip the radio out of my truck.  I'm with you on most of your choices.

Since no one has thrown this band out, let me add a few KISS classics to the mix;
Rock N Roll All Night (its just....just has to go)
Shout It Out Loud

Modern English's "I'd stop the world and melt with you"....That friggin song comes back into vogue like a bad rash every 4 or 5 years and, defying logic, manages to get even more irritating each time.

"Tom Sawyer", "Limelight", "Spirit of the Radio", and " Closer to the Heart" - Rush. They have other songs worth hearing.

Ya know...I never hear "Mystic Rhythms" anywhere.  Bluesad
