For some resaon I remember a very short-lived sword and sorcery type show  (less than a season long) from the very early 80's that had a very dark slant to it.  I wish I had more details about the show, because I have never been able to figure out what it was.   It was not a cartoon and it was not a movie, it was definitely a weekly show that was advertised and then it flopped.

I just remember the main character had a really big sword.  It doesn't get much more vague than that, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Well, because this is one of the usual suspects for this sort of thing.  "Wizards and Warriors" would be a fair place to start:

I think you nailed it Andrew, Thanks.   Thumbup

No wonder I couldn't remember much about it.  I was only 8 years old at the time.  I guess I was too young to really appreciate the humor in the series

I was only ten myself.  I've been wanting to see it again for years, just to see how memories match up.
