The singer of "You've Got the Touch" is trying to get that song on the soundtrack for the new movie.  Though I think it would have been neat to have that as a background song, even if just few a few moments and just barely heard, I don't think it is going to happen.  The new movie's makers haven't contacted him back about it and, at this point, I think we're a little too close to zero hour.

"You've Got the Touch" cracks me up.  Not the least because Jordan and I have a cooperative review coming for the old animated "Transformers" film.  Woohoo!

Isn't it amazing how hokey the old Transformers cartoon looks now that we're adults?
I used to watch that show religiously when I was a kid.

Ha!  The video clip I picked for the review starts exactly where that one does, but it is shorter (that one runs more than 4 minutes).

I had a ton of the toys growing up & religiously watched the cartoon, but I tried the watch the animated movie a while back and couldn't make it through the entire thing.

Guy's name was Stan Bush, btw.  Strangely enough, I don't think he ever really did much after that album (at least songwise).

Doh!  Turns out I was WRONG!  The guy did several albums after his stint with the TF movie... did some searching and actually found a webpage with his stuff..

Stan Bush did some songs for Blood Sport and Kickboxer.  How could this man not have done a song for a training montage for a Rocky movie?

The new movie just wouldn't be complete without it I feel.  I don't see why they couldn't do it as a subtle joke like a band in a bar playinig it in the background.

Just like if they did a live action GI Joe movie I'd expect to see/hear this...

I used to love that show - it was about the only cartoon where the good guys didn't always win in the end.  Wasn't there some other follow-on show where they were on a deserted planet and it was just the Transformers against the Decepticons?  That was pretty cool too.  Never understood the Decepticons though - if you're trying to deceive somebody, isn't it kind of a bad idea to call yourself "decepticons"?
