I can't help but get pumped up from watching these, since '85 is in my top five Zilla movies.

I'll bet this one surprised a ton of people back then, when we didn't have the internet (to post every tiny rumor.)

A batch of t.v. spots. I remember seeing two of them going 'wow' (they were on tapes, wasn't born when '85 was made or released here) I love the line 'favorite fireing breathg monster returns'. That alone fit like a glove in my mind.

Rare German trailer. Pretty cool, nice and grim.

I almost booed you for reminding me that I was old enough to remember 1985, but those trailers were so cool I forgot about that.  My kids loved those, thanks for the links.

What a find! I love that American trailer, and that German trailer is really good too. The first TV spot was on the two old Godzilla vs. Gigan and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla VHS tapes released by New World Video in the late 80s, LONG out of print. Godzilla 1985 has always been one of my favorites, check out the Japanese version if you get the chance. It's even better.

Are you sure of that?

I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?

I'm actually old enough to remember seeing the American version's first TV screening, sometime in the late 50's I think, the one with Raymond Burr. Godzilla has been my favorite monster since then, he will always be the King of the Monsters to me.

Oh yes I think the original verson of '85 is much better. But I feel the American ending, helicopter scene, giant louse, and U.S.S.R. sub, scenes are all edited better.

If they ever release the original version over here they must include the Americanized too.
