I caught LAKE PLACID 2 on SciFi the other night and must say, wow, they sure copied the original pretty closely.  Well, except for the quality.

Bad acting, super bad dialog, grotesque (as in bad, not gory) visual effects and a completely unoriginal plot marks this as one of those trainwrecks you just cannot look away from.  I'd give it 2 out of 5 - more awful than fun, but not wrap your head in duct tape painful.

I felt much the same way about that movie.  It wasn't bad enough to be fun, nor was it bad enough to be good entertainment.  I felt like they owed me those two hours back after sitting through it.

I watched about ten minutes of it, thought the characters were fairly annoying and changed the channel.

I caught about five seconds of this, specifically the part where Cloris Leachman got eaten up. It seemed like the high point to me.

I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?

I watched the whole movie, thought it started off well enough but then it seemed that everyone involved sort of lost interest and the film started to slide downhill faster and faster. I was happy to see it end, typical Sci-Fi channel movie, not really awful, but not really good, it seems that they aim for mediocrity every time and almost always hit the mark.

I watched the first one at local theater that is now close near where I live called Cinema Grill.

The only theater in the area at the time in which you could buy beer and get drunk while watching a movie (you could also order some fantastic food as well, the steaks were to die for).

I got to see the 1st Lake Placid there while getting drunk with some friends (I didn't drive BTW.)

I haven't seen it since then but I always remember the bear getting chomped butt first back into the water by the giant croc.

I watched all of Part 2 the night it first premiered on Sci-Fi. I went into it expecting it to be an utter waste of time. That way when I was mildly entertained, I felt like the evening hadn't been lost.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.
