I wish to God I was making this up...

Apparently a Judge (from DC, surprise, surprise) went to a Korean dry cleaners, they lost his pants, and now he's suing for $54 MILLION dollars.

Let me repeat that, a judge is suing for FIFTY FOUR millions dollars over a pant of f**kING pants!

What, is this pant make of platinum threads or something?  To quote Bruce Willis from Last Boy Scout, "Do they got like a TV in them or something?"

Supposedly, the judge is suing because they have a "Satisfaction Guaranteed" .  Another report says the judge initially wanted $1000 (the price of the suit) but when the couple who owners the dry cleaners found his pants, they refused to pay.  For there, the judge began to steadily up his suit.

"Because Pearson no longer wanted to use his neighborhood dry cleaner, part of his lawsuit calls for $15,000 the price to rent a car every weekend for 10 years to go to another business."

"But the bulk of the $65 million comes from Pearson's strict interpretation of D.C.'s consumer protection law, which fines violators $1,500 per violation, per day. According to court papers, Pearson added up 12 violations over 1,200 days, and then multiplied that by three defendants."

And this f**ker is on a bench, deciding about the fairness of local laws.

So, now the couple has had to spend over a years pay to hire lawyers to defend themselves against this assmonkey.

(sigh)

I'm actually hoping that a lightning bolt or meteorite will hit the idiot judge on the head.  It's been a long time since we had a sign from the heavens.

Along with Mike Nifong, this guy should be disbarred -- never to be a judge or practice law again.

Notice that he dropped $11 million from the suit because he decided not to be reimbursed for his pants.

I heard about this before.

What BTM doesn't say in this post, is that the dry cleaning ship is (was?) owned by a couple from South Korea. Now, because of the lawsuit, they may lose their business and have to go back to South Korea.

The good news is that almost everyone is in agreement that the lawsuit will probably be thrown out of court, once it gets to court.
Of course, that doesn't make up for all the pain and suffering inflicted on them up to this time.

This is more a worry that they guy is a Judge, more so than the lawsuit itself.  To absolutely ruin someone over a pair of pants is ridiculous and displays a complete and utter hatred for your fellow man.  I don't care how badly they treated him, to file a suit that ridiculous over such an insignificant thing is purely spiteful.

I doubt he really cared about winning.  I suspect that since he knew they'd have to defend the charge, he would just try and screw them over.

Makes you wish a naming and shaming smear campaign against this a-hole [plus optional biatch-slapping] was just the first step in making this guy realise what a prick he is being.

From what I've read the judge was an unemployed lawyer before he got his current appointment as an administrative law judge. He also has a history of litigious complaints as well. It sounds like the guy needs a mental health evaluation followed by an ass whipping. Something to knock some sense into him anyway.

And what chutzpah on top of it all to seek legal fees for representing yourself!

If there were any justice (hah hah hah, sadly) this case would be thrown out and the dry cleaner owners and their son could sue him for all he's put them through.

What's funny is I'm told that while testifying on the stand, the judge actually BROKE DOWN crying like a little b***h, whining about the trouble's he's had to endure in his life of late.

Oh, boo, hoo, you a***ole!  Cause all the problems you're causing these poor dry cleaners doesn't mean anything, does it?

You know, if I ever were to continue my s**tbags of the World postings/rants, this guy would make a good subject...

Yes! The case has been thrown out. Score one for rationality and justice.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

If we are lucky, he will end up being disbarred.  Somebody like that should not be involved in making decisions about the law.
