I've been waiting on some news about this movie. It premiers Oct 5.

I think with Bale and Crowe in the leads this should be a decent remake.  Peter Fonda is also in it.

 This looks good. It's got Peter Fonda too!  Cheers  I'd see it just for that reason alone. I like westerns alot....only wish  more were being made. I miss the old western movies... Bluesad

The son coming along is a new addition.  In the original is a great piece of work by Glenn Ford as the outlaw and  Van Heflin as the on the outs small time rancher who takes Ford to meet the train.  The part of Charlie Prince (the guy in the trailer that's doing most of the shooting) was played by  Richard Jaeckel in the original and Ben Foster in the remake.

It is a very tension filled and noirish western with some great cinematography.  If you haven't seen the original you should check it out before you see the remake.

It's also kinda neat that this is being released 50 years after the original .
