E3's around the corner and with it comes trailers and news on all the great upcoming games! As such, check out the trailer for Godzilla: Unleashed, coming to the Wii this Fall. A little disappointed that Jet Jaguar didn't make it into the trailer, but enjoy!  TeddyR

Oh, excellant! I've got a Wii, and they've got King Ceasar in this game, so I hearby consider it #1 on my Must Have List.

Oooh, I'm going to buy this game as soon as it comes to stores! I can already imagine myself flailing with the Wiimote and bashing King Ghidorahs head with Godzillas mighty fists!

Looks awesome! I'm going to be getting a Wii for Christmas from my mother so I'll ask for this game along with it as well.

The wife and I have agreed that our "joint" gift to each other this Christmas is going to bea Wii. This game just went straight to the top of my "must have" list.  Thumbup

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

The more I see on this game, the more amped I am to play it.  Essentially, the opposite of what I felt toward Godzilla: Save the Earth, which turned out to be a big waste of money.

That does actually look rather good, the graphics don't appear to be quite as crisp as they would on the 360 or ps3 but that could just be down to how the video was shot, it will be interesting to see how the remote works on that and it could be something to add to my rather pitifull collection of Wii games.

Haha!  Now all three Mechagodzillas are playable, or at least that's what Toho Kingdom says.  Supposedly, Titanosaurus is also going to be in this one...

Update: No supposedly about it.  IGN just confirmed Titano...

They've got a seperate video on ign for Jet Jaguar now.  Just a heads up.

Game is looking good.  Hope it turns out great.  For those that haven't played it, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is actually quite good.  It's for GameCube/Xbox, so you might want to look into it if you have a Wii...  Like a $10 game these days.

Because the developmental kits for Wii games are a lot cheaper than the kits for 360 or PS3, and Atari is going to stick with the cheapest way possible to make as much money as possible. Why spend a lot of time and money making a graphically astounding version for either of the other two systems when you can make one for the Wii much cheaper and ride the financial wave of the most popular of the three to an almost guaranteed boon? There aren't a ton of worthwhile games for the Wii yet (especially not fighting games, or giant monster fighting games for that matter), so the competition for their little-game-that-could will be much less to contend with too. I loved both of the first two Godzilla melee games (the original started out as a GameCube exclusive for a little while too) and don't foresee this third installment being any different... at least I hope not...

Yeah, and I have to extend the anti-recommendation to Godzilla: Save the Earth.  It was probably the most disappointed Godzilla game I've played, and I've played the one on NES.  It's not that StE totally sucked, it just didn't live up to the hype that Pipeworks kept putting into it.  Unleashed looks like it just might...

What was the problem with Save the Earth anyway? I remember enjoying the hell out of it, especially with the inclusion of Jet Jaguar, but all I seem to hear are comments from fellow gamers ranging from bad to mediocre. Would someone elaborate for me, please? Did I miss something really crappy, or were the problems just things that I didn't really mind? I was probably too busy living in fanboy heaven to notice, heh heh.

I thought Save the Earth was a lot of fun.

I dunno. I enjoyed Save the Earth for about a week, then I just got tired of it.  I think for me it was just too easy.  It's more of a personal anti-recommendation than anything.  I play it once in a while, only because there are a ton of monsters in it, but beyond that I think DAMM and War of the Monsters were the best kaiju games I've played.
