The Fast and the Furious series is really stupid.  They should have stopped after the first film, or better yet, not even made the first film at all.

What next all we going to have Shaggy and Skooby turn out to be a couple of pot heads? they do eat all the time and remain amazingly thin.

We can call it Skooby Doobie.

Well, they are thin because they get a lot of exercise running from phony ghosts and monsters.

Babe, I'm leaving.  I must be on my way.  The time is drawing near.  The train is going.  I see it in your eyes.  The love beneath your tears.  And I'll be lonely without you.  And I'll need your love to see me through.  So please me.  My heart is your hands.  And I'll be missing you...

Lol EVERY movie in my wife's movie library. .

For the future: If Troy Duffy really does make a sequil to The Boondock Saints, It'll likely ruin it. The story is complete, there's nowhere else to go but into lameness.

I think its un-neccesary to make any movie that glorifies teenage angst, violence and rebellion.

The last thing we need is more idiots speeding up and down the roads and cutting people off while smoking a joint.

Just my two cents...

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.

Actually, you could argue the first remake was gratuitous, but this really takes the cake.  It's a prequel, so we KNOW pretty much how it's going to end (ie, none of the bad guys will die), and there's nothing really added to the storyline, no exploration of why the family are such ass monkeys, just lots of scenes of teenagers being tortured (and killed) by total jerks.  It's what I like to call the "Ant Vs Sledgehammer" storyline.  We follow the ant as it scurries around for a bit, trying to figure out the object it's crawling near.  Turns out to be a sledgehammer, which promptly smashes ant.

The Omen remake

Pretty much the exact same film as the original, except this one makes references to 9-11 and has the photographer using digital equipment.

House of a 1000 Corpses/Devil's Rejects

Again, two "sit and watch people get tortured" films.  We're given NO reason for why the Fireflys (the bad guys in both films) act the way they do.  Although the second film is better than the first, that's a bit like saying being kicked in the nuts is better than being shot.

The Abandoned

Crappy film, we'll see the "twist" ending coming a mile away, even with all the films released around the same time with similar "twist"s at the end.

i didnt even know they were making and alvin and chipmunks movie, like we need it.

I saw the trailer for that sure-to-be atrocity at The Simpsons Movie (which I enjoyed the hell out of), and it nearly made me break down and cry in frustration and confusion.

Films I found unnecessary:

Dumb and Dumberer- Why even bother?  Sure, the original was a hit, but I don't think that producers understand that sequel to big hit does not equal instant cash.  Did they do a sequel to Titanic?  No, and with good reason.

Twister- Say what you want about this film, how it was supposed to showcase CG and all that, the film just felt like a waste of space.

The Haunting (1998)- I liked this film the first time I saw it, but coudl never sit through it again. Once you've seen all the CG and the jump scenes, there's nothing left to the flim.  Moreover, why take a film that was supposed to be more of a psychological fright and turn it into a rollercoaster of CG?  They seem to do this with a lot of fllms.

Children of the Living Dead- This was supposed to be the "true" sequel to Night of the Living Dead, though many rightly find that to be a pretentious claim for such a horrible film.  It starts off with a good bang, but starts dying down in this neverending spiral of bore after Tom Savini is no longer on the screen.

Day of the Dead 2: Contagium- Why did we need a prequel to a movie that already had a prequel?  I understand the idea of alternate sequels and prequels, but this just didn't seem necessary at all.
