I voted Brainiac. If nothing else, I'd love to see an adaptation of Alan Moore's "The Last Superman Story", if for nothing else than to see Kevin Spacey wearing the big evil Brainiac hat. Heh heh.

The little Mr.M ! I always thought Micheal J. Pollard looked like him. Is he still alive? Hmmm.

Why not one-up three of the Batman films as well as the last Spider-Man film and throw all of them in there? Wink

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Remember several years back when Nicholas Cage was going to play Superman?
Wasn't Patrick Stewart supposed to play Braniac?
I remember a guy at Blockbuster telling me that.

I voted for Mr. Mxyzptlk by the way.

I'd like to see Luthor and Bizarro, Mr. Mxyzptlk may be a bit too obscure for cinema goers and also a huge amount of effects would be needed for the stuff he can do or does whenever he shows up in the comics.

Though the point of the thread is who should be in the movie, here's the likelihood for each of these guys, as based on random numbers taken directly from no particular source:

Lex Luthor - 99% (probably bringing along one of the others as a minion)

Bizarro - 60% (recognizable, could be brought in under the "failed Superman clone" pretense)

Metalo    - 50% (could easily be done as a Luthor minion, but doesn't have the mainstream presence that some of the other do)

Mr. Mxyzptlik    2% (as it's been said, the CGI budget to do all his wacky things would be pricey, not to mention he's a comical imp, so basing an attempted blockbuster movie around Superman fighting a comical imp is going to be reeeeeeeally hard to get approval for)

Brainiac  75% (Probably the easiest of the group to recreate in movie form: green makeup and headgear)

Doomsday 85% (Everybody knows the behemoth that killed Superman, and he could easily be either a Luthor creation or salvaged from space by Luthor)

Darkseid  40% (Not as mainstream friendly, you'd have to include his history and Apokalips into the mix, and George Lucas might try to sue  TongueOut)

Mongul    - 10% (also not too mainstream friendly and could easily be replaced with Doomsday or Darkseid)

I think It should go down like this: Braniac is the big bad guy and either creates Bizzaro or summons him from Htrae (Bizarro world) to deal with Superman but in the very end, Bizarro helps Superman defeat Braniac.

Definitely Brainiac. The question then becomes which version of him? In humanoid form or  robotic form...or computer mind form?
