I have yet to make it through this "project" but when I do, I'll have to write about it as I laughed so much.

Is Yongary just a Korean Godzilla knock-off or is it just a guy in fuzzy green trousers!  YOU DECIDE!  hehe

Anyone else watch this and laugh their butt off?

Could it be THE HOST is just a high-profile remake/reimagining of YONGARY?

I can't work out many similarities between "The Host" and "Yongary," besides the Korean angle.

 TongueOut

Speaking of laughing, probably the most amusing scene is when Yongary gets ammonia or some other chemical on his skin.  He starts dancing and itching, much to the delight of a young boy who is watching.  So, here you have a towering representation of reptilian death, with a small Korean boy in the foreground laughing at it.

That's the beauty of the whole "reimagining" angle; i.e. Tim Burton's PLANET WITH SOME APES was a reimagining of the 1968 classic.  TeddyR

I'm guessing if you type "reimagining" on a Word document Bill Gates will tell you it's not a real word.

Yes , about the remake , I remember seeing it as a Sci-Fi original movie with the title "Reptilian", but I also read a review somewhere with the original title "Youngary" Either way it`s a pretty bad movie.

The basic plot is about an archaeologist that digs up a Huge dinosaur skeleton and then Surprise! The skeleton grows all it`s flesh back and takes off on a rampage. Since this normally doesn`t happen when you find a fossil, there must be some sinister force behind it. Turns out some aliens put the monster there and are now back to take control on their creation and conquer the earth!!!   And of course there is some old scientist who knows all about it and tries to warn everyone but no one will listen.

That`s about all I can remember , maybe I fell asleep before the end. The monster is totally CGI and definitely some of the worst ever. Here`s one link to the DVD on Amazon.
