My trust in mainstream film critics is at an all time low lately, with more and more exciting new movies getting worse and worse critical reception, but I have finally been pushed to the point where I will never trust a mainstream critic again. I just saw Halloween...

As time goes on and sequel after sequel after sequel is churned out, the once terrifying antagonists do begin to lose their touch and even start to become parodies of themselves. However, icons such as Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Freddy in Wes Craven's New Nightmare and The Daleks in Doctor Who have recently shown how, with a little bit of magic, these icons can once again be as scary as they were on day 1, if not scarier.

Let me get to the point. Did it work for Michael Myers?
