It came and went without me even realizing it but August 28th was my 7 year anniversary at my current job. I work as a 2nd shift policy processor/data entry person for a major insurance company.

I was just curious with how crazy the economy has been recently how long people have been at their respective jobs.

Right about 5 years at my current job.  I do technical support/network administration for an ISP:  www.clis.com.  It's not a great job but it's money.  I'm currently trying to get an associates degree and all of my certifications so I can get a better paying job.

5.

which i recommend if your company has a pension plan and if it's also the time you need to be fully vested in the 401k. Given i work at a very large company there's lots of room to grow and move around, however right now i'm the person they can't seem to live without. i told them not to call me on vacation because i'm not going to pick up the phone..lol

still waiting to hit the big lotto tho...

Last month marked 2 years at my job. The longest I was at any job was 3.5 years. This place is nice, though. I don't plan on leaving.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Going on 14 years at a medium-sized nonprofit agency.

I took the job when I first moved to Tennessee from the Keys as a temporary 4 month position while I interviewed for teaching jobs (I had taught music for about 7 years at the time) and never looked back! There are great benefits, very flexible scheduling, and the pay is comparable to teaching.

Almost coming up to my 2 year mark.  Landed this job almost straight out of University, which was lucky.   Lucky especially since I did an arts degree, so unless I wanted to teach I wouldn't have a practical use for it.  I enjoy my work, and because I work in high-end audio systems, it keeps me interested and we get to see some pretty cool houses.  It's bad though because it makes me think I can afford expensive things when I clearly cannot...  We'll see how it pans out; I'm young, so am just happy to be earning the moolah for now...

It'll be over four this November, but I'll be damned if I spend five at Wal-Mart.  I should be getting my masters before too long...

I just passed the 3 year mark for my job on August 23rd.

It's the longest I've ever held a job.
Most jobs I've worked in the past, within the first month I'm ready to quit.
Luckily, my job pays pretty well and it's easy so I've stuck with it.

8 years this coming April.  My employer is in San Francisco and I work out of my home in New Jersey.  Working from home has its advantages (particularly in the Northeast) and its disadvantages...

The longest I've worked is my current job of 6 years this September.  6 years of telling customers "get the fnck on/off my train (I don't really say that.Except in my head.).  6 years of cursing out customers asking me what train is this when the letter or number is in front their face.  And 6 years of closing the doors on these idiots who're running and tumbling down the stairs when another one is coming in 5-8 minutes.
