Satans Bushel by America-firster and proto Libertarian Garet Garret (that's his real name) was obsessed enough with the stock market and concerned with the rise of what we now call "the nanny state". With that combination, it's not surprising he would find valour in the plight of the amount wheat traded for on the open market in the 1920's.
I'm reading his book "the driver" right now. It's very good.
