DISTURBIA (2007) - Good film. I really enjoyed everything about this film and the ending has you on the edge of your seat when the friend goes into the house. Phew........now that is how you make a movie. Besides the little romance in this film you have a "strange nieghbor" film kinda like THE BURBS (1989) only a bit more serious.

(8 Out Of 10 Stars)   Thumbup Thumbup Nice look and combination of things.

I really loved this movie.  David Morse looks really ugly and creepy and I was shocked at how much I disliked him.  I saw him in Hack a few years ago and thought he was a cutie.  I guess the long slicked back hair doesn't suit him much.

Very believeable story line and the acting from all the cast members was well done.  I had a little trouble accepting Carrie Moss as the mother of a teenager.  I remember her most from the Matrix movies, and she still looks great.

Yea, he was a real Hannibal Lector type minus the canibalism. The new young star Shia LaBeouf was very good actor as well.

You had a few interesting ingredients.

Film start out with a nice fishing trip.
House arrest and spare time
Girl next door
Psycho next door
Single mom
Entering the psycho's house
Bodies between the walls
Conflict of interest police officer
Humor with the kids next door

I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. The product placement at the beginning is silly, but the tension scenes are great and David Morse reminded me of a younger Rutger Hauer, when he used to play similar roles.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Good call about Rutger Hauer, Neville.  I completed agree there.  I saw him in The Hitcher years ago and it creeped me out.

Now I understand why David Morse freaked me out in this movie so much.  There were probably some subliminal memories of Hauer at work.
