Not really sure if these things are legal or not. So the question is if they are, does anyone know any good n64 ones?

 Smile

Some of the games I played 100 years ago when I was feeling much better are available via emulators on the web, such as the great Elevator Action (squash the baddies with a descending lift / elevator) and the also great Pooyan where you are a mother pig battling bubble gum chewing wolves who steal your piglets.

The one onscreen instruction in Pooyan that always made me smile was the legend at the end of every screen which said Number Of Pigs Taken ~ wolves dash across the bottom of the screen carrying  pigs in firemens' lifts, chased by an angry mother pig.  BounceGiggle

I know I can make it on my own if I try, but I'm searching for the Great Heart

I don't know if it's still up, but I used to go to www.arcadeathome.com for all my emulation needs.  They have all the software for playing the games, but getting the games is another matter entirely.

If you own the respective game then yes you can legally have a rom of the game on your computer.  I use Project 64 which IMO is one of the best N64 Emulators arounds.  However some games cannot be downloed due to the ESA.

Emulators are legal to have, it's the roms that you get that are either legal or not.

thanks for the tips guys but I won't be able to do anything with them for a week due to the internet connection going out at the dorms. Gotta use the library computers these days.

Free old games in Java, no emulator, no big download needed! Wink -

Only problem is that the big name boys are missing! (Look for "Rockman" instead BounceGiggle)
