I hope this is as good a send off for Rambo as Rocky Balboa was for Rocky.

I'm more excited about this movie than probably any other project in production right now. That last trailer that went out had my jaw on the floor.

Stallone has implied there might be more Rambo movies after this actually.  So it might not actually be a "send off".  I just hope he can return a little intelligence to the series like the first film.  We already know it will have mucho gore and action.

Stallone just recently was talking about how this movie could be made into a part-documentary, talking about all the trouble they had filming near the Burmese/Myanmar border.  Apparently they were shot at, and saw many wounded people with limbs taken off etc.

This is around the same time that all those monks disappeared.

I didn't look into it enough at the time, but I hope he was telling the truth and not just trying to jump on the 'oh we were near Burma FILMING OUR FILM' type angle.

Should be pretty fun. I thought that Rocky Balboa really returned some respect to that long suffering series and I'm holding out hope that the new Rambo does the same for that series.

I wish that they'd stuck with the original titel of John Rambo, but Rambo is OK, too.
