Oh yes, THE MARX BROTHERS for sure and RED SKELETON.

Boyscoutkevin what are RED SKELETONS best comedy movies? I've only seen episodes of his TV show.

Must add LIFE OF BRIAN to my favorite list. Funniest ending ever.

Welcome Killer Bees!  BRAIN DONORS is an interesting choice.  Lots of critics panned it, but I remember liking it.  Then again, I don't remember many "ha-ha" moments from it, just that I liked Bob Nelson's re-imagining of Harpo Marx.  I should probably give it another chance.  If you haven't already, check out the Marx Brothers' A NIGHT AT THE OPERA (1935), since BRAIN DONORS is basically a remake.

Thanks for the welcome   Smile

I loved A Night At The Opera.  Marx Bros are amongst my fave comedians.

I laughed so hard at Brain Donors, I could barely breathe throughout the whole movie.

This surprised me because at the time I was suffering from severe depression and NOTHING could even get me to raise a smile.  I think that's why it will always be my number one fave comedy of all time.

Plus, I just love slapstick!

Burns & Allen were also great. I don't think they did any movies together though.

Oh, I don't know, maybe THE GOONIES!

I saw it in the theatre a couple years ago and it's lost nothing (so long as they lose the octopus  Wink )

And less I fall in too deeply with you nostalgiaddicts let's stick to late 90s to early 21st century:

Freddy Got Fingered (forget what you think of his show then or now, it was a riot)
South Park (the movie)
Me Myself and Irene (this will reaffirm any lost faith in Carey)
Best in Show
Meet the Parents
Jay and Silent Bob strike back
Anchor Man
40 year old virgin
Superbad

Phew.....I better get to the video store. The only ones I've seen from your list are:

Meet The Parents
Anchor Man
40 Year Old Virgin

All good comedies by the way. My favorite of the three is MEET THE PARENTS.

Of the list you have...the only three I HAVE seen were these 3....

FREDDY GOT FINGERED-I found it TOTALLY unfunny. I think it's for the same reason I found ME,MYSELF and IRENE unfunny...the main charecter is a un sympathetic scumbag...and I just can't empathize with him. And without that...I just lose interest in the film. I think comedy needs empathy.
As for the SOUTH PARK movie...eh. It had it's moments...but it's shock humor...and I'm not easily shocked.

Only one I haven't seen is Superbad.

I'd say that Best in Show, Jay and Bob, Anchor Man, Meet the Parents are all hilarious, as is South Park.

Freddy Got Fingered is not.  I like Tom Green and thought his show was good, but a better performance by him came in 2000's Road Trip.
