I have a serious question. How many people here actually beat Total Recall on the Nintendo 8bit?

I didn't play it much but remember getting to that level with all the bums and couldn't beat that guy that had the case.  I don't remember it being too bad but I think I was more playing Mega Man series and Zelda to really put too much into it.

I'm mostly waiting for Hunted:  The Demon's Forge to arrive at the beginning of next month, so I went back and started playing Uncharted Drake's Fortune again.  Getting some trophies.  To get the platinum you have to play through it on hard difficulty, which unlocks "crushing" difficulty, and then you have to play through it on that.  I'm about a third of the way through on hard;  I really don't see how people can find this enjoyable.  It takes four bursts (not shots, but bursts) with an assault rifle to kill an enemy, but only 2 or 3 single shots for them to kill you.  And the enemies just keep coming and coming.  You can take cover and wait for your health to regenerate, but the enemies quite often work their way around beside/behind you, so you have to retreat so far away from them that you can barely tell if you're hitting them or missing them when you shoot at them.  Oh well, I kind of doubt I'll beat this stupid thing on crushing, but I'll give it a try I suppose.

Having recently accomplished my mission of beating Icewind Dale 2 after years of having it, ( yay! ) I am now working on Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows Of Amn and it's continuance, Throne Of Bhaal.

Mind you, that's after I recently beat NIER about 2 weeks back. NIER was good, but it was apparent that Squarenix was more concerned with getting it to the U.S. instead of taking some time-there are many cutscenes where there is NO dialogue or sound, and in the scenes where Japanese is spoken, there are no subtitles to read.   All in all though, the monsters were tough, it had a great story, and the boss monsters were HUGE  Buggedout   Good game!

I've been wanting to get Nier.  Everybody says it's got good atmosphere and characters.  And that girl isn't wearing any pants   Buggedout  I'll have to get it this summer some time.

Oh yeah, the girl Kaine (pronounced Ky-a-Nay)  She indeed isn't wearing any pants, but a see-thru neglige. You'll get a kick out of her.  And while I may be assuming, the voice of the main hero sounds unmistakeably like Michael Ironside, although some have said it's the guy who played Piccolo on Dragonball Z.

As I said, BIG boss monsters and tons of weapons. And the gold is very easy to earn. Much more than that I won't say, as I don't wanna' ruin it, but I know you'll like it.

I am SO waiting for the next Ace Combat game as well. The last one, Fires Of Liberation was great.  Smile

I recently made the mistake of getting Airforce Delta Storm as a backwards compatible XBOX game, and it fell flat.

The last mission sees you flying thru a totally whited-out area, with no way to see where you're going. I have NO idea WTF Konami was thinking when they did this, but be sure to know that crashing on the last mission every time is the order of the day.

That's perhaps why the Ace Combat series is the best in the genre-better graphics, gameplay, AND you can see where you're going on the last mission too!  BounceGiggle

I've heard they were going to show that at E3.  They call it project Cafe right now I believe.  I think Sony's debuting their Next Generation Portable as well.

Robotek HD for Droid X

"Machines have taken over the world and its time to take it back in the game Robotek. Robotek offers a nice blend of action, RPG and strategy rolled into one package. Features: Over 200 levels Over 30 levels of skill"

I really enjoy this game... slots, action and RPG all in one! Also. The sound FX are incredible. Thumbup

Got my platinum trophy for Uncharted:  Drake's Fortune   TeddyR  That brings the current total to eight platinums.

That was a truly great game.  Superb characters, really good story, nice variety of environments, fun gameplay (well, more fun on the more normal difficulty settings) and not only are the graphics fantastic, but the scenery is so beautiful that sometimes you just have to stop and gaze at the breathtaking vistas.  9.5/10.

Started playing Star Wars The Force Unleashed last night.  It's an okay game - clunky controls, but it's pretty easy (so far) so it doesn't matter much.  Platforming is a pain though, not precise at all.  Oh well, I'm just playing it to kill some time until Hunted:  The Demon's Forge arrives, hopefully by the end of this week.

Ordered Nier today too, so that's yet another summer project  TeddyR
