Most movie weapons are pretty cool.
Some fire projectiles while others are directed energy weapons.

For this poll, I decided to focus on handheld or relatively small weapons.
You'll notice that I've included rifles, pistols and various bladed weapons.
Some of them are real, others are purely fictional.
All have appeared in a movie.

I've purposely left out video game weapons and weapons from comics etc...
I'll get to those in a different thread.

Take a moment to vote for your favorite movie weapon.
You can vote for up to three.

For a long range gun, I chose The Jackal's Cannon.
That thing is friggin' sweet!

"Hold out that pack of cigarettes!"

(Not Safe For Work!)

Anyone know what the actual make and model of that gun is?
-----------------------------------

For a pistol, I chose Hellboy's Samaritan revolver.
This thing would do some serious damage!

-----------------------------------

As a bonus, I'd definitely take the L.O.O.K.E.R. gun.
One flash from it and your enemy won't know who he is or even be able to see you for 20-30 minutes.
By the way, I've looked and looked and looked and can't seem to find a pic of the LOOKER gun online.
Can any of you find one for me?

Which movie weapon would you choose?

The Jackal's cannon is definitely one I agree with, but for my absolute favourite on the list, I chose the railgun from Eraser.

Noticed an omission though - the guitar case rocket launcher and machine guns from Desperado.

I like Reggie's quad-barreled shotgun from the last three 'Phantasm' movies. He hardly got to use it, but when he did. I love it in 'Phantasm 2' when he does use it against four of those little Jawa-looking monsters. One shot and they all explode into pieces.

Ah, the Robocop guns the bad guys use.
I'd forgotten all about them.

I added your suggestions to the poll.
You should also be able to change your vote if you want to vote for any of them.

If you guys think of any more, list them here and I'll add them.

I still went with Hellboy's revolver. You've gotta love that.
