You know that big bin at walmart that advertises 2 movies for $10? (Even tho we all know it's $5 per movie, they're just trying to encourage you to buy more than one). I thought it was funny yesterday when I was watching a few people digging through it like there was gold in them there hills.

And further down the aisle was a shelf where a bunch of movies sitting at the bottom were $10 a piece, each having 4 movies in one DVD. Now THAT seemed to be a better deal as you are paying only $2.50 per movie, but everybody seemed oblivious

But those movies don't have the big sign on the bin!  How are we supposed to find them without a big sign on the bin?

I have the habit (which my wife hates) of not leaving a store until I have scanned every last DVD shelf, bin or display. Today at Walmart, those 5 dollar bins were pretty empty, but I did find A Sound of Thunder. I've seen guy there walking away with their arms loaded with DVD's. I can only imagine the looks they got upon returning home. TeddyR

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I use The Force

Side note, how about that most excellent dollar DVD rack.

This is true. In fact I've done experiments around the bin by just digging in it furiously holding movies under my arm to see if i could attract people. It takes less than 5 minutes before the hoarding begins

As for the 4 packs I saw, here's some of them:

Dreamcatcher, Cat's Eye, Creepshow & Dolores Clairborne

Horror of Dracula, Dracula has risen from the Grave, Taste of the Blood of Dracula, and DRACULA A.D. 1972

Coma, Body Snatchers (Meg Tilly version), Wolfman, and Bad Moon Rising

There were also bigger feature films, keep an eye out for the 4 packs which may be on a bottom shelf near you

Coma, Body Snatchers (Meg Tilly version), Wolfman, and Bad Moon Rising

As a child, I would giggle and laugh until I cried during the scene in "Coma" where all the bagged bodies roll off the dry cleaners-style system and fall onto the one character.  My mother and sisters would stare at me in wonder.  I'm going to have to go looking for some of those 4 packs if I get the time.

There is also a 4 pack with all four Lethal Weapon films. For ten bucks, that is a great deal.

Horror of Dracula, Dracula has risen from the Grave, Taste of the Blood of Dracula, and DRACULA A.D. 1972.

This is actually a pretty good pack for $5. I think Suncoast is selling it for $10-20 dollars.

When at Walmart last time I picked up ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST for $5. The collectors edition with interviews and everything.

Anyone notice the new variation to Susan's name to Sioux Zun?

I actually just picked up Reservoir Dogs (Ten Year edition) in the $5 bin the other day at Wal-Mart.

The bin there was heaping full.  So much so that DVD's were falling off onto the floor.
I must've dug through that bin for a good 20-30 minutes and I spent half that time just picking up DVD's off the floor.   Lookingup

I finally found Reservoir Dogs and it had to be the only one left in the bin.

I wish that Wal-Mart would post a small list of the DVD's in the bin.  Put it right next to the price.
