Well it's late and I'm smoking turkey's and hams in the barn for T-day an all night event and I must say it is nipplely outside.

Today it was a high of 78 degrees, well a big front came through and dumped a ton of much needed rain ... sneaking in behind the front was an arctic blast and the temp dropped 40 degrees to 38 right now with a cold ass rain to go with it.

Nothing I like better than going from shorts to flannel in the same day.

Well back to the smoker's and maybe a nap.

BounceGiggle Cold-ass rain? Love that phrase.  TeddyR

Here in Pretoria it's currently 10h15 am, cloudy and overcast. Rain is expected in the late afternoon. All good so far.  Smile

I hope the weather holds up for the weekend: our Department is having a Men Against Woman & Child Abuse march and as a child of serious abuse, I don't want what happened to me to happen to others.

Here in SW Michigan-I's cold and raining. Supposed to change to snow soon....but this is Michigan...so who knows?
It's 3 in the morning....I just woke up.

That's a good cause Trevor. My dad and stepmother were not very nice to us kids...he was a drunk and she was crazy.

RC,  your Dad and stepmother may not have been nice people but I consider you my friend and by all your posts, I can see that you turned out OK.  Smile

I do have problems dealing with the two major periods of abuse in my life but my adoptive parents (and adopted brother and sister) and my friends keep me grounded. I always tell my young friends what happened to me and that they must not allow it to happen to themselves and others.

Have a good day, my friend: I'll send some warmth from Africa your way! Smile

It snowed all afternoon and into the evening here in eastern Iowa.
Big thick heavy snow.
We got about 3-4 inches.   Smile

I'm not so sure I turned out ok...I am an alcholic and did many drugs for YEARS...though the idea of taking it out on my kids is repulsive to me. I think I more or less took it out on myself. I was actually lucky...I had a wild imagination...which I frequently ecscaped into-unfourtantly, my brother Mike did not. He ended up in prison and then an asylum. He's out now...but is highly medicated.
I really do commend your work. Child abuse can turn into a viscious cycle....and can be passed on from one generation to the next. For me...it stops. Others are not so lucky.

I'm in the SE corner of Minnesota and that system missed us by about 1 mile to the south.  I think it's in the mid 20s here at 7:30 in the morning, supposed to get up to 40 or so they say.  Overcast...they promised sun!

Just looked out the window and now we've got snow flurries.  Who knows, maybe we'll get a white Thanksgiving.

Here in central Arkansas it's been unseasonably warm (60's for lows & mid 70's for highs) this week and we've had a couple of thunderstorms.  Yesterday it got very windy and cold front came through. The low was in the 30's this morning and I think the high will get up to about 55 today.  Not unusual for a Thanksgiving day here.

By the way happy Turkey day to everyone, whether you celebrate Thanksgiving today or not have wonderful  day.

Oh yeah turkey's done and ready to eat, family coming this afternoon.

That's right, Cheeze. When the snake falls in love with the water hose, it's time to buy a new pair of boots!

I wanna know how cold that rain was. Colder than a witch's titty's, or colder than a well-digger's ass in Idaho?

Would it freeze the balls off a brass monkey?

Well we had a snow storm yesterday here in rural Northeastern Newfoundland. Today was slightly better but we still had occasional flurries and intermittent rain showers depending on temperature.
