If you have a slow connection, this thread may take a while to load.

-----------------------------

I was digging around on my hard drive the other day and came across some pictures I took with my DVD camera last year around July or August 2006.
I'd forgotten that I had even taken them.

The pics below were taken at my parent's ranch here in Iowa.
They own 5 acres and most of it is pasture for the miniature horses they breed and raise.

My mother had asked me to come out and snap some shots of her horses because she was thinking of creating a website.
That night, I uploaded them to my computer and forgot about them.
The website was never created.

At one time, they had a full size horse.  You can see her in one of the shots below.
(she's the big brown one)
But I'm pretty sure they sold her recently.
So all the pics here are of mini horses.

I thought I'd throw in a pic of my parents house.
It's the quintessential American home.

And when you walk down to the end of the long driveway and look to your right, this is what you see:

(that's a fenced in riding arena and the Iowa countryside in the background)

------------------------------

I think some of those horse pics are good enough to be enlarged and framed as wall portraits.

How about you?
What do you think?
Which one is your favorite?

Nice job!

Beautiful scenery.  I love the look of the backgrounds.  Picture 3 is my favourite, closely followed by #1.

Print a selection of them, frame them nicely and they would make a special gift.

Umm...the 'big' brown one? That's a Mini - looks like she ate one of those round bales!  Wink

I like all those shots, particularly the beautiful horses.  I think the best picture is of the outbuildings behind your family's home with the large tree in the center.  My own favorite, however, is the very last pic of the "...end of the long driveway and look to your right, this is what you see..."  I love that view.   Thumbup
