I'm going to be out of town for the next week and a half so I won't be posting that much at all if any for that matter as I won't be near a computer starting on Saturday.  My family is having Christmas with my mom in Charleston, SC with her husband again after having Thanksgiving down there.

I just wanted to sincerely wish everyone here safe and happy holidays for your friends and family as well as yourselves.

I also hope that everyone has a safe New Years as well.

Yes, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, etc. to one and all.

It's kinda funny, there's snow in Toledo, but I'm happier in Newport News Va. where it's in the 40s.  First year I really don't want a white Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you all too!

The whole sign business is (at least sometimes) a reaction to the so-called war on Christmas that Bill O seems to think is happening because one obscure atheist in California somewhere had a problem with it.  Just another phantom menace overgeneralization but hey, fear motivates right?  Saying "Happy Holidays" includes "Merry Christmas" rather than being "instead of" - it's just a nice way of saying a whole bunch of holiday greetings without saying 15 hundred sayings.  Anyway, according to Bill, they won that war anyway :)

As an agnostic atheist myself, I just want to say Merry Christmas everyone!  (most people of any/all/no religions don't have a problem with "Christ" being in "Christmas" after all, god, son of god, revolutionary, or just a nice guy, he did have a positive message right?).  I have no problem myself with the holiday being centered around the guy (nor do I have a problem with it originating from a Pagan celebration of the Winter Solstice either).

also...have a Happy New Year!

Oops! I forgot to address the atheists.
We're having a special Interfaith Holiday show at WRIR this Tuesday at noon, & I've been getting flack about that all month.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I actually know some people who actually put up a steel pole one year instead of a Christmas tree.   TeddyR
