For awhile now, I've been remembering bits and pieces of a couple movies I saw as a kid, but for the life of me I can't remember their names.

The first movie takes place in a pos-apocalyptic future, where fossil fuels have been outlawed. There are no internal combustion vehicles anywhere. I don't remember what the main conflict is, but the final showdown between protagonist and antagonist was a suped-up futuristic Indy car vs fighter jet battle on a suspension bridge.

The second movie was something in a similar vein to the movie License to Drive. The main character was a teenager (maybe early twenties) about to get a new car. He sees a magazine ad for a company selling knock-off Lamborghinis at a ridiculously low price, so he goes to get one. Of course, the company is evil and out to drain him of his money. The hot saleswomen takes him on a test drive, leaning all over him, running her fingers through his hair while he's driving. He wants the car, so they go to pick out options. The sales woman, putting on more sexy charms, convinces him to get every option except the extended warrenty. His troubles start right after he gets off the lot with the new car, and he ends up in an accident. Waking up, he finds his new car suspended in the air on the back of a wrecker truck, as that's the only way that car can be towed. The main conflict revolves around trying to get the crooked company to fix the car, and the sales woman finally coming to realize what the people she works for are like. I don't remember exactly what happened at the end, except that the main character and the sales woman drive off together.

So, sound familiar to anyone? I'm thinking of renewing my NetFlix account, and wanted to see if I could track these down, just so I can stop thinking about them icon-hotrod.gif

The first one is "The Last Chace" starring Lee Majors and Burgess Meredith.
