For the 17th year in a row, some of my students advanced to the state level in the National History Day competition.  Sadly, we have yet to place at state.  But one of these days . . . .

I was coming back early from the competition so I could serve as a chaperone at my daughters' high school prom when my 9 year old Nissan XTerra broke its drive shaft.  Now for the $64,000 question: Do we FIX it?  Or just buy another car?

Ny beautiful daughters came home from their prom and insisted on a daddy-daughter dance with me before changing out of their dresses.  I held it in until we were done and they had left the room, and then bawled a little bit.  My babies are all grown up!
