In general with football, the few times I did try watching it, I enjoyed the Canadian CFL more than the NFL....but overall I was just bored. I have enjoyed baseball in the past, was actually enthralled with the World Series won by the New York Yankees back in 1996 over Atlanta. Became a Yankees fan....but nowadays I'm just not as interested anymore....

The kids left their clothes in the dryer all day so I went and closed the door and turned it on to get the wrinkles out. I go back up stairs and start to check the forums. That's when I hear a *thump* *thump* coming from down stairs. Figuring its one of my kids throwing balls at the walls again, I go to yell at them again. That's when I noticed the thumping was coming from the laundry room. I opened the dryer and there was the cat. He was confused and dizzy but otherwise fine. He is busy getting some cuddles from everyone right now.

I wonder if the dogs planned this.

Sometimes I think I must be important in the grand scheme of things, because I've noticed no matter where I go the sky is always centered exactly above me.

Am I one of the only ones who really doesn't care about football season?

Speaking as someone who's never liked football, I've never understood why people hate Howard Cosell...

I used to watch the Vikings every weekend, but now I just don't care at all.  Somebody at work the other day said one of the players was injured and I'm like "Is that the quarterback?"  I dunno, I think the final straw was when some out-of-position ref called a big penalty, which probably changed the outcome of the game, because some guy inadvertently brushed a couple of his fingers across the quarterback's facemask.

Overheard between two Seventh Graders today:

Girl to boy sitting next to her:  "I will END you!!"
Boy to the rest of the table:  "She's a feisty one, isn't she?"

I was reading that had President Kennedy not been wearing his back brace (almost a corset, really) on the day he was shot, the first bullet, which was likely survivable, would have knocked him over as it did Governor Connally in front of him. Instead the President was locked in place, unable to bend frontwards, and Oswald's fatal shot did not go a few inches over his head as it probably would have. Poor man.

If he hadn't wrenched his back chasing topless secretaries around the White House swimming pool just before leaving for Dallas,
he might not have been wearing the brace!

My friend was telling me about this time he ran this girls bike up the flagpole when he was in high school. I thought it was some kind of crazy euphemism but no he was actually running a girls bicycle up an actually flag pole.
