There was an article in today's paper about some local guy who took a tour of Auschwitz.  The title of the article was "Hell on Earth"  My wife's like "He probably had to stand in line forever and had a really rude tour guide."

My parents' generation mourned the passing of drive-ins, and my own waxes with increasing fondness about bygone video stores. I wonder if going to either was really all that great, and I wonder what ubiquitous entertainment providers we take for granted today will be eulogized when they're no more? Scheduled television programs? Magazines? Game consoles? The internet as it is now? Please remind me to notice in twenty-five years.

I guess I'm lucky that our local Hastings is still open.  I still prefer browsing the shelves to streaming online.

Looks like I'll have to take our cat in to the vet today (or as soon as I can get an appointment).  He's had a pimple on his leg for his whole life, but a while ago it burst open and created what the vet called a cist.  He gave him some shots to kill the infection but of course Scooter kept licking on it, causing it to get reinfected, and now it seems to be really bothering him.

Wish my little guy luck.   Smile

Edit:  his appointment is for next week Tuesday.

Someone found a badly decomposed human body in a vacant lot behind our local theater - less than a mile from where I work! - today.  CSI has been on the scene all day recovering all the bits and pieces.

Jack, he will be fine.  Those infections make an awful mess but they do heal up.

Thanks Newt!  I probably worry way too much about this stuff and your kind words of reassurance are very much appreciated  Smile

Sometimes I wonder if bad instructional videos count as bad movies...
Right now, I keep forcing myself to watch & rewatch a 2hr audio tutorial...
It's kinda hard to pay attention, because you keep hearing the instructor's Ss, meaning (even though he seems to know a enough about them) he could'nt find a decent condenser mic.

Last week the vibe in Chestnut hill where I work was like The Shining. Now, it's like a zombie movie
