Know what was a cool movie line? "Why don't you try  dancing with a man for a change?" In LA Confidential when that coward picked fights with women? Imagine being a man who gets off picking on women. Just imagine that. Imagine the weakness and frustration and cowardice of a loser who picks on women.

Used to work with a guy who we found out one weekend had beat his wife up. For various reasons I can't fully recall he got away with it and came into work on Monday with a big smile on his face thinking he was a real tough guy. The biggest guy on the sqn took him for a walk around the back of one of the hangers and gave him a crash course in how to really hit someone.

Wasn't quite as cocky after that.

When I was in the Navy, I was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.  This was in the mid 1980's.
All of us who were there permanently had to attend an ICR class almost as soon as we arrived (inter-cultural relations).  One thing that was drummed into us was that the Japanese do NOT like jokes about nuclear weapons.  Not even really funny ones!
But the stateside Navy, when they came to Japan on portcall, insisted on treating Japan like it was a third world party port (usually because they had just visited the Philippines).  We hated them being there and couldn't wait for them to leave most of the time.

Well, one of these jackwagons decided to wear a T-shirt off base that had a picture of a mushroom cloud on the front with the inscription "Made in America, Tested in Japan!"

He had 22 broken bones when the Shore Patrol found him in an alley behind a local bar.

If a tree falls in a forrest and no one is around to hear it, did socialism still cause the tree to fall?

Considering the terrible ecological devastation socialist countries have wrought on this planet, it might actually be, yep.

'Tis a strange conceit of the gods and men that they believe that forgiveness is their domain, rather than the province of those who have been wronged.

DUDE! That is utterly impressive. I love that. I was impressed thinking it was some famed 19th century writer but well done. Very nice.

Well as part of my latest assessment my boss did complement me on my eloquence.

Sample conversation from work.

Jim: "I bet you had the (memory) stick. I bet you had it up your ass. I bet you are used to getting small things stuck up your ass."

Swim Boy "Well only because you keep shagging me."

Have to give Swim Boy the points for the win there I guess. Oh, I love the high brow conversations I get to have here.

They were also watching videos involving a prolapse, people in Halloween masks sticking fingers down each others throats until they are sick and I hate to think of what else. IT Dave decided to try watching one, and got half way through before walking away. Me, well when I was younger I was always told that the greatest teacher was learning from your own mistakes. I beg to differ there. I much prefer learning from someone else's mistakes and try not to watch them.

The one with the catapult and the conker was an exception.

Found a rather old notebook of mine from when I used to write backwards just to annoy other people. Has the beginning of a sci fi story I was working on.
