This one prompted quite a bit of discussion a few weeks back:

If cannibalism was a socially accepted practice, how different do you think the meat section of the local supermarket would be?

To kick this thread off, I'll post MY first random thought...

Personally, I don't think a guy like CJ would waste his time driving a cab (or an ambulance for that matter.)  MUCH less delivering pizza.

In semi-response to Mofo's post, I've always been curious about cannibalism. If given a somehow legal method with which to do it, and were it prepared by a competent cook and guaranteed not to make me sick, I would definitely try human flesh. If I ever went to Vietnam, I'd go local and try dog meat too, just so I can have a genuine opinion on whether it's good or not.

My random thought: I'm sick and as a result I've got an irritating pocket of pressure built up in my left ear that I can't seem to get rid of no matter what I try. It sucks. It's almost as annoying as when my hearing was blown out for the three days following the time I saw Guitar Wolf at CBGB's. At least then I didn't have to listen to my boss be a jerkass...

This is AWESOME!  I post a random quote of the day on my whiteboard at school for my students every day, and I was running out of material.  Here are a few of my favorites:

"There are stray dogs in the world.  There are starving people in the world.  Isn't the solution obvious?"

"It's not the size of the cat in the tree . . . it's the size of the branch he drops on the dog."

and one of my favorites, from Stephen Wright -

The other day I came home from work and put my car key in the front door of my house by mistake.  The house started right up, so I drove it around the block a couple of times, then I parked it in the middle of the interstate and stood on my front porch yelling at all the folks trying to drive in my front yard."

Why does it matter what dog food taste like when they'll eat cat turds?

It would certainly give new meaning to the expressions "getting a piece of ass" or "that tastes like ass!"

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I always try to live each day as if it were my last  . . .  which is why I never have any clean laundry.  I mean, who wants to spend their last day on earth washing clothes.

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

« Reply #8 on: January 06, 2008, 09:39:07 AM »

I used to do this every day when I was in college, working in a computer lab. I'd just post some thought or question on the board when I came in to work. Cool idea, BTM.

Here's mine for today:

Been pondering this for a while:  Why is it a bra and a pair of panties?  Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Same goes for a pair of pants, why not a pair of shirts?

If farts came out of another exit, would they be as funny or smelly for that matter?

Also regarding cannibalism,  if it was accepted would there be arguments over what restaurant cooks the best arm or leg?
