WOO-HOO! They didn't eff up my paycheck this time!

Yesssss!

Now, if you'll please excuse me, I gotta go blow way too much money on b-movie DVD's because I'm a moron who still has yet to learn the importance of fiscal responsibility.

Yeah!

I sometimes wonder why I tend to like the modern day heels of pro wrestling far more than today's fan favourites. Of course, it could be because today's supposed good guys tend to be vulgar and offensive and the worst of role models while most of today's villains seem to emphasize things of value like hard work, dedication and using one's smarts albeit with a little cheating thrown in then and again. Years ago, I preferred the villains but mainly because they tended to be more colorful, memorable characters. Usually they were madmen of some sort or some type of foreign menace. In those days the heroes of wrestling tended to be the ones dedicated to hard work, dedication, using smarts but taking few if any shortcuts and only resorting to roughhouse tactics if pushed beyond their breaking point. It seems to me that's today wrestling baddies are more similar to yesteryear's good guys and vice versa. Is it no wonder I cheer no nonsense Vladimir Kozlov and want him to win the World title.

I've spent most of this decade saying one mean thing after another about George W. Bush, declaring him the worst President of modern times, debating whether he was truly the most inept President ever, lambasting his backward politics and intrusive domestic policies, his militant ways, his seeming mental befuddlement when speaking, his arrogance, his fondness for crony-ism and his lack of touch with the nation, if not reality itself, but there is one nice thing I can say about the man, and that's that to whatever arguable extent his actions have contributed to our safety, we have not had another terrorist attack on US soil subsequent to September 11, 2001, something most of us took for granted was imminent. For that, to the extent to which it is appropriate, I do sincerely thank him.

So there, hell just froze over, I said something positive about the outgoing forty-third President.  Thumbup
