Had a surprisingly placid meet-up with my cousin today, who gave me another in the long series of "Huh???" moments for which she's duly famous. She just started college, and told me in an Introduction to Psychology class she began this past week, the professor walked in the room and before he said anything else whatsoever asked, "How many of you have been in a relationship where there was cheating going on?" However many who chose to reply raised a hand. Next he asked, "And how many of you were the one doing the cheating?" Fewer hands went up. She says the professor then said, "You're the ones who interest me the most. The rest of you, less so." Obviously the way professors introduce themselves has changed since I was in college...

Sometimes life's pathways get a little too twisted into one another. Like earlier in the week I went to a Starbucks managed by a woman my husband used to date, while I was there with a woman whose brother I used to date, whose son is my godson named for the brother I used to date, and who should come in when we were leaving but the former fiancé of the woman I was there with. Life gets labyrinthine sometimes, and that afternoon felt like a Three's Company plot.

You know what sucks? Wes Craven died yet everyone only talks about what Kanye did at the MTV Awards. Sickening.

I'm hoping to practice guitar all day and that my "I can't hear you talk when I've got my headphones on" excuse will get me out of doing any housework.

Wish me luck  Smile

Why worshiping in the cathedral of nature, of course! (Or changing Trinnie's pull-up pants...)
