I just thought... if I could afford a trip to South Korea at just the right time, and find the film festival that plays it, I could watch Space Monster Wangmagwi and write a detailed reader review of it on here....

Having lots of fun with red tape and bureaucracy trying to sort out Kristi's next visa for her to remain in the UK. The various people who should be able to sort things out keep saying "No, thats nothing to do with me", and I keep having flashbacks to a game of Paranoia I played many years ago when my character went insane trying to fill in a requisition form and attacked the department with a high powered office stapler.

Not quite in the Darwin Awards league, but still not very intelligent. One of my co-workers decided to try and get rid of a mouth ulcer by putting hand sanitizer on it. Unsurprisingly this made him feel a little bit ill and apparently it doesn't taste very nice.

This is going to be the first Thanksgiving in my family since we lost my father's oldest sister in January, Aunt Christie, and for much of my life we'd go to her house for Thanksgiving. I'm not "down" but it is days like this coming Thursday that put a deep stamp on loss and how the changes it makes are permanent. Could be some sad moments this year.

So, not to be preachy or put a damper on anyone's spirits, but if you're fortunate enough to be spending the upcoming holiday (or if it's just another Thursday where you are) with people who are dear to you, I hope you take time to feel how lucky you are, and make the most of it. Time together is a gift.

And then I hope you turn away from the past, something I have trouble doing, and feel great joy in the day that is!

He could have tried my undies: same result.  TongueOut Wink

in the past week our volume at work, delivering Amazon same day packages, has doubled. I've been working like 2+ weeks in a row. The pay is good but it's not that fun delivering packages in the dark

Ever notice how many times John Lydon blinks in the four-minute Rise video? Hint: It's also the title of Bret Easton Ellis's first novel.

Lately my nights have consisted of either watching season 1 episodes of The Simpsons or reading 1984. Because of Animal Farm, I'm starting to get into George Orwell's works.
