I once got a surprise when I saw a ex gf on a TV show where she admitted to having sex up against a stack of buns when she was a manageress in McDonalds (that wasn't with me, she was 15 when we were together).

I guess someone got a little behind in their work.

Can we make glitter illegal? That s**t gets everywhere and is a pain in the ass to clean up, no matter how many times Mr. Vacuum goes over it the glitter wouldn't budge.

It's kinda hard to imagine that a cartoon character created by a misogynistic psychologist & bigamist in the 1940s has since  become a feminist icon...

Yup.  You should see my barn after a bunch of 10-y-o girls have been decorating ponies at a party.   Buggedout

You should have seen my dad's van after my elder sister had it. Glitter everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE.

Sometimes I think about the extinction of the dinosaurs. First off, if you notice dinosaurs had already experienced significant periods of extinction before they snuffed out, and I have heard some estimates that certain species may have lingered for 20,000 years after the theorized event that brought about their extinction. (Still going with the asteroid off Mexico, here.) 20,000 years, by human standards, is a long time. Not by the standards of the Appalachian Mountain chain, mega-ancient, but old by our scope. Also the dinosaurs that remained at the time of the extinction event did not include some of the coolest species. True T-Rexes were around (and I bet they smelled like rotten meat and stench and weren’t really all that fast, more like opportunistic scavengers, the jackals of the post-Jurassic) and ankylosaurs, but some of the really cool ones, like velociraptors and allosaurs were long gone. Anyway, to continue my initial thought, what if dinosaurs had gone extinct a little earlier. What would Fred Flintstone have done for a living, with nothing invented yet to dig those big holes he was always working on?

In high school McDonald's used to have these posters put up near my school in places kids would go, inviting us to come be employed there, and in bold lettering the posters would invariably say:

A FUN PLACE TO WORK!!

Surely that was malarkey, right? Has anyone ever worked fast food, because I haven't, but is there really anything fun about it?

Maybe if you have Dark Alex's former girlfriend as your manager...

I looked up an old friend of mine online and apparently he's now a missionary with a wife and five children.  Seems to be doing pretty well, and although I'm happy for him, I dunno.. can't help but feel sad as well.  Maybe a bit jealous.  I guess that's just normal to an extent, right?

I wonder if Tom Cruise at any point shouts "Show me the Mummy!" in his new film?
