Elvis Presley would have turned 73 today if he hadn't died such a tragically early death.  Really hard to believe actually that that much time has passed already...............

My mother adores Elvis. It's a shame he's gone, but it's still kinda better off that he died when he did. Considering where his lifestyle was heading him, he more than likely would have gotten worse before he got better. Still, can't deny his contribution to the music community.

On another note, it was also David Bowie's birthday too. TeddyR

I made tha amzing "discovery" that Elvis is is/was my father's age, who is stlll very much alive.   So it is concievable that he is in rural Indiana somewheres.  Also, I celebrated the King witha  banana/peanut butter mocha, it was npot nearly as disgusting as it sounds.
