A whopping $3,014,170,389,176,410 is the dollar figure so far sought from some of the largest claims filed against the federal government over damage from the failure of levees and flood walls following the Aug. 29, 2005, hurricane...

Morons ...

Quote
Little is known about the person who claimed $3 quadrillion. It was filed in Baker, 93 miles northwest of New Orleans. Baker is far from the epicenter of Katrina's destruction, but the city has a trailer park where hundreds of evacuees have lived since the storm.

Must have been a really nice trailer.

Well, 4 quadrillion would just be greedy, and 2 quadrillion would be cutting your own throat......

Maybe the trailer park is a Trump Plaza tower in disguise.

Shouldn't they then ask for trumpillion dollars?

Plus Trump would want all portraits on the bills replaced with his lovely mug.......

Getting back to the OP, I say tell the guy if he has reciepts and itemized records, give him the money. I just want to see how many hoops this idiot would be willing to go through for the bread. Considering the waste involved in govt. in general and these recovery efforts in particular, if he had asked for something closer to realistic (but still pure BS) he might have slipped it through and been approved.

OK, you make your home in a city below sea level, you refuse to evacuate when a Cat 4 storm is headed your way, you elect an absolute idiot mayor . .  . and you want the government to give you its entire GDP for a year to replace your trailer.

The scary thing is, that guy is going to vote!

Amen ... I said that long ago.

There is a storm coming, very slowly. You have 2 weeks warning and you are told to leave, NOW and you don't leave, then you have the nerve to act surprised when you city on the coast, below sea level, surrounded by rivers, lakes and a gulf is flooded, bridges are gone, 1000's of square miles of trees and power lines are down, roads are flooded and again you act surprised when you can't be rescued simply because you follow simple instruction. But it doesn't matter it was Bush's fault. Lookingup So you sue ... excuse me while I go get the duct tape to keep my head from exploding.

Yes, those stupid poor people should have jumped into their helicopters with their sacks of money and flew to freedom!   They all had second homes and second jobs in far away states that they could camp out at for years, but they stayed in New Orleans entirely because they were Democrats and therefore stupid.

2 weeks warning before the first raindrop fell, no helicopters required.

However, city government could have used these ...
but that would have took, oh planning maybe.
