Ernest Borgnine is 91 today, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. BORGNINE! I saw him on O'Reilly the other night and he looked damn good, not damn good for 91, just damn good! I would have NEVER guessed he is 91. He is still active and making films.

For you young guys he does the voice of Mermaid Man on Spongebob Squarepants.
For the rest of us old folks you'll know him from McHale's Navy and so many more great films and shows!

Here is a pic of him last year at 90

I am a great admirer of ERNEST BORGNINE; just watched the scene in BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK where one-armed SPENCER TRACY karate chops big, bad, bruiser BORGNINE to his knees.  I like him in anything, EMPEROR OF THE NORTH POLE, ICE STATION ZEBRA, POSEIDON ADVENTURE, WILLARD, THE DIRTY DOZEN, THE VIKINGS...HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERNEST

Well, I thought of MARTY, but it's not a favorite, though the other films I mentioned all came off the top of my head.  ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK!  Yeh, love ERNEST in that one, too.  Didn't think of that!   Smile

I have an old movie of his called VENGANCE is MINE,where he plays a looney farmer vs. psycho city mugs, led by Micheal J. Pollard. Here's a link, if yer curious...

I'm gonna rewatch it tonight in his honor...it's actually a pretty cool and violent little flick!

Sorry, Cheezeflix. Either I forgot to read your post, or at my age, as soon as I got down to the bottom of the thread, I had forgotten I had read your post. For me, at my age, they are often the same thing.
