I have no idea why but this just randomly popped into memory. Something I saw the end of a while ago, it was kind of korny and I don't know if I'd watch it again, I'm just really curious as to what it was now. I just remember seeing what I think was the end of the movie, where a girl and a guy with a beard were on some kind of desert island together, as a couple, and the girl ended up coming back to the guy, and throwing up and saying she ate some poison berries... or something. And then cause she was going to die, he took her out into the ocean and had a bearded makeout session of sorts.

I have no idea why this just popped into my head, I wonder if any of you know what it was. lol

Sounds like The Blue Lagoon to me. Not something I'd recommend anybody ever watch, although it was parodied fairly successfully in Top Secret.

I agree with Mofo.  This film was actually on cable today.  I noticed it while flipping through the channels.

Did she eat poisoned berries in "The Blue Lagoon."  I remember her getting sick, and the boy taking her to the shrine.  I think she was stung by a poisonous ray or something.  Plus, I do not remember the boy having a beard.  It's been years since I saw that movie; they used to run it on late night network TV all the time.

There were definitely "poisonous" berries in THE BLUE LAGOON.  My memory of the movie is faint (I was only watching hoping to catch Brooke naked) but the subplot is mentioned in this spoiler thread.

Probably was the poisoned ray thing, then, it was very vague, saw it a long time ago and missed a lot, she was on a desert island and she vomited, I put two and two together. I didn't think it'd be Blue Lagoon because I know that movie is quite (in)famous and I always assumed the girl didn't die at the end! And I seem to remember the guy having a beard or something, lol.

Probably was Blue Lagoon, though, thanks for clearing that one up, can put this in 'solved' if you like!

This sounds like "Castaway" with Oliver Reed and Amanda Donohoe: Reed was definitely bearded and the two of them had a kind of make-out session.

Directed by Nicolas Roeg: www.imdb.com/title/tt0092732

I agree with Trevor, pretty sure you're talking about "Castaway", definitely poisonous berries, Oliver Reed with beard and she does get stung, either by a ray or a stone fish.

It's definitely not "The Blue Lagoon". The girl in TBL steps on a "stone fish" (poisonous fish from the pacific) but doesn't die. She dies in the end (the boat scene), when she and the guy she's with see their son eat poisonous berries and they both think he's gonna die so they eat the berries too. They die but the kid survives and is the main character in the next movie "The Return to Blue Lagoon (Milla Jovovich-what a babe)".
