This is a very, very funny story. Unfortunately it is in Afrikaans but it made me laugh at what some dumb criminals will do.

She said she would make a call and while she was making it, he stole her phone and handbag and split.
She gave chase and so did seven high school kids, who were just about to corner the thug and give him the asskicking of his life, when the scared thug jumped into a car, screaming that he was being attacked and telling the driver to go, before the kids caught up to him.
Ooooops: the thief jumped into an un-marked police car.......
