Whatever "Rousdower" is from

That would The Final Sacrifice my friend, a classic episode.  Thumbup

Whichver one contains "Big McLarge-Huge" Rips off Battlestar?

And that would be Space Mutiny, another personal classic.  Thumbup Thumbup

Speaking of shorts, there's one I just can't place.  I think it's a short exalting the virtues of a home economics education for today's modern woman.  There's a line where the narrator says something along the lines of "What will Susie's dorm room look like?  Will she get along with her new roommates?" and Tom jumps in to add, "Will she smoke thin black cigarettes and reject the tripartite God?"  Karma for anybody remember what the short is, and from which episode.  The line has stuck with me through all these years.

Oh, easy: The Home Economics Story - it was the short they showed before Viking Women Vs. the Sea Serpent (ep. 317) and it was also on their first "Shorts" collection.

Thanks, karma awarded!  But, when you say it was on the first Shorts collection, do you mean a different one than the disc called "Shorts Vol. 1" that came in the Volume 2 collection?  (I think I would have noticed if "Home Econ." was there, though I can't check because the Russian movers I hired 'lost' the box with Vols. 2-7 in it Hatred) .  I always assumed that one was the same as the first "Shorts" that was released on VHS---was the lineup different?

Okay,  I'm back.   TeddyR

Yes, it was the first short in the DVD of "Shorts: Volume 1" that was in the Volume 2 collection.  As far as I know, the disc and the tape have the same lineup, Rev.

Ah, I remember now.  My "Shorts Vol. 1" disc cracked the first tiem I tried to take it out of the package, and I never sent it back for a replacement.  If I'd realized that short I remembered was on there, I would have!  Oh, well, I'll just replace it.

I have Hired part 2 on one disc.  Anyone know if there's a Hired Part 1, and which disc set it's on?

"Hired Part 1" was on ep. 423, BRIDE OF THE MONSTER.  I don't think the episode was ever released on DVD or made part of a collection.  But, the short appears in MR. B'S LOST SHORTS, part of the Volume 6 collection.

Thanks.  I'll have to look for it.  I wanna get some more of the dvd's.  Only issue I have is they're expensive.

Of course, there are people who sell em cheap, especially eps that are not available commercially...

I have about 90% of the series.
My favorite is probably Ed Wood's "The Sinister Urge".
But my username suggests "The Girl in Lover's Lane".

The MST3k Discussion Board has lead me to THIS board, BTW...
