Yes, the same company that was kind enough to send me a picture of the director wearing a Badmovies.org tshirt on the set.  Thriller horror films can be hard to do, but certainly the easiest to achieve with a small budget.  I hope that the film turns out well:

INDEPENDENT FILM IN PRODUCTION IN IRVING

IRVING, TEXAS
February 10, 2008

The Dallas area is the location for a new independent feature production titled "The Sisters Four."

The project is a horror mystery starring local actress Rosa Nichols ("Walker, Texas Ranger," "A House Divided," "Prison Break"). Also included in the cast are Larry Jack Dotso  ("The Safety of Others," "The Stopping Place") and Melody Brooke ("Lucky Day").

"The story," says director Jim DeVault, "has appeal for mystery fans, and horror fans as well, because the murders are quite gruesome, and each murder is progressively more violent." But the film does not rely merely on shock value, but has a strong story as well. DeVault adds, "Several people have read the screenplay, and none of them have had anything but praise for it. We have a good script."

The shoot has been on location in several spots around the Dallas area, from uptown to the suburbs, and the production hopes to wrap principle photography by the end of March. Though the production has a small budget, the cast and crew do not see this as a drawback. Speaking by telephone, producer Norbert Lamont stated that a big budget was not necessary. "With this project we don’t have a lot of extravagant special effects or exotic locations. It's story driven." Apart from some special make-up effects, supplied by Evil John Mays ("Savage Spirit," "Shroud"), the story could take place take place in any city in the world. "The story," continues Lamont, "is about people, and some pretty nasty things that happen to them, but it all takes place in the real world."

The production company, Stone Bell Creations, hopes to sell the distribution rights for "The Sisters Four" by the end of the year.
