Not much to go on in this one, but hopefully someone has an idea. First off, it was definitely a stalker/slasher type flick. The setting is sort of a hilly wooded area in the fall or winter. Kinda felt like the woods of Vermont or New Hampshire. Not sure if it's indicative of the rest of the film or not, but at least in the scenes I remember. In one scene a woman is taking a shower as they cut to a shadowy figure sneaking around in the woods. Maybe spying on her? Can't remember for sure. Then another scene (at this point she is done with her shower) the man appears in the house and attacks her. He is wearing some sort of tribal mask. He may have even taken it off of her own wall. The interior of the house has a sorta of rustic feel to it, but still very modern in an '80's sort of way. Which is when I'm sure the film is from.

I know this all very bare bones, but it's all I got.

Nope, it's not Just Before Dawn. I think the film was probably filmed a little later in the decade than that one. And it definitely didn't have George Kennedy in it! :)

If I remember correctly, there was a scene sort of like that in The New Kids (1985). There was a scene with Lori Loughlin taking a shower and James Spader sneaking up on her and trying to rape her, though I dont remember if he had a mask on or not.

Hmm...No I don't think that's it either. Regardless, it definitely looks like a heck of a film to check out though.

This is probably wrong, but parts of that sound very similar to Cheerleader Massacre.  There's a group of kids in the snowy mountains, they happen across a cabin/house, a woman takes a shower, and there's lots of scenes of someone sneaking around outside in the dark.  However there's no tribal mask.  It was also made in 2002, but it has a very '80s feel to it.

Nope, it's not that either. I distinctly remember watching it on Showtime in the late '80's or early '90's. Maybe that can narrow it down a bit? I know this isn't much to go on...thanks for all the help!

I'm getting sort of a "Friday the 13th" vibe here. Would you say it was along the lines of one of those flicks? Would you classify your mystery movie as a stalk n' slash type film?

Yes, definitely of the stalk n' slash variety. The attacker wasn't a monster type though. Very much just sort of your average Joe. Well, your average Joe with a penchance for rape and murder that is...

How about Zombie Island Massacre?

It has a shower scene and a nutjob in a tribal mask (though not a zombie in sight), plus it's from 1984.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Well, I followed the link and after checking out the pics and the review I had almost convinced myself that this must be it! Then I checked out the trailer and some clips on youtube and everything changed... The film I'm referencing has a much more glossy i.e. competant look to it. I'm also fairly certain that the setting is in the fall/winter of the Northeast. A little more detail about the interior of the house, it gives off an overall claustrophobic and cramped feeling though the rooms are open. Such as you would find in a split-level home.

No, it's not that either. No elements of camping that I recall.
