Some Spoilage:

I've been wanting to get this on DVD for awhile and finally found it for $8 at Walmart - it's the movie where Joker finds a huge piece of Kryptonite and heads to Metropolis to make fast use of it.  Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne decides to give Metropolis a visit as well, and naturally, he and Supes don't get along too great at first.

This is another good movie from the same folks who brought you Batman: TAS, Superman TAS, and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.  I think it came out just before Batman Beyond, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, and the following Justice League series -all great additions to the world of anime.

This movie has some great scenes: Batman questioning a thug when Supes arrives, Supes grabbing him and Batman giving him the heave-ho haha.  Joker outwitting Supes and of course doublecrossing Luthor.  And I also love how Mercy and Harley are duking it out while Lex and Joker make the initial deal -that's classic stuff right there! I also love how Supes cheats to see who's behind the cowl but later realizes he's been bugged after he flies home and changes back to Clark Kent; the look on his face is priceless as he peers out across the city to see Batman looking right back at him through binoculars and giving him a "gotcha" wave :)

Glad I bought it.  Now "Brainiac Attacks" on the other hand is a pile of crap I wish I didn't buy.

Saw it some years ago on TV and thought it was great. I really got a kick out of these movies (well, except "Mask of the Phantasm", which I found pretty dull). My favourite of the bunch isn't one based on TAS, though, but a Batman Beyond movie, "Return of the Joker".

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

I like how the animated Batman shows/movies are a more seroius attempt while the live-action (sans the Begins and thereafter) are so campy.  I personally like Mask of the Phantasm -really liked how they show Bruce first wearing the cowl (especially Alfred's reaction to it).

I liked Subzero -it was a way better portrayal of Mr. Freeze than the live action counterpart, however, there wasn't too much action.  Still, way better than Batman & Robin.

And I liked Batman Beyond a lot - have the first season on DVD - really liked Return of the Joker, especially the unedited version -wow!  Sure, it was a weak explanation on how the Joker got to the future but damn what a good climax.  Loved how Terry (even in the enhanced bat suit) got physically dominated by Joker.  I always loved the mystery aspect and trying to figure out what's going on.

Same goes with Mystery of the Batwoman - not the greatest but I enjoyed trying to figure out who was this Batwoman - was pretty cool.
