We're all just victims of circumstance

« on: March 04, 2008, 08:52:27 AM »

The weekend here was great 75 and sunny on Saturday.  I spent the day trimming shrubs and tidying up the yard . Today I had to drive to work in the snow?!

Yup, it's March.  Towards the end of the month it'll be getting nice and warm, all the snow will melt, and I'll be about ready to get out on the golf course.  Then we'll get a blizzard.  It never fails.

I really don't know what's happening with the weather.

It's 17h07 here in Pretoria: a while back we had bright sunshine and pouring rain.

It's cold in the morning when I go to work ~ by 09h00 you want to yank off all your clothes, you're so hot. Speaking for myself, it would not be a good thing to go naked at work.  Buggedout Twirling Lookingup

I know! On sunday It was hot enough for me to take a midnight bikeride with my friends and then later go to the hospital with said friend to find out that he has a broken hand, and now Its a good 7 and possibly half inches of snow out there!

March has been crazy, where I live, We've had fog. And we never have had fog. It snowed twice. And two days ago, we set a record for the most rain on that particular day. Over two and a half inches, which was enough to ground over 1000 flights at the airport and strand over 125,000 passengers. Now what would they have done, if it had rained six inches, like it did at another airport in the area.

Mother Nature gets kind of bipolar during the month of March.

I live in SW Virginia and we got some serious winds last night.

Here in NJ the whole winter has been a**-backward, the forsythia blooming in January, and 65 degree days in February, no snow to speak of all winter, then bitter cold in March... and wind, which is the one thing to be expected this time of year.

PA gets pretty wacky as well.  Like a few weeks ago it was like mid 60's out, and be sunny, then the next day be like in the mid to upper 30's and be miserable and dull out.  Like today it's right now 45 degrees out.  The high today is 50, the tonight it supposed to be at freezing with some snow tonight.

Yesterday was windy and I didn't like it too much.
