I'm a huge PS fan, having owned PS1 and PS2.  However, I'm not entirely sold on the PS3 yet.  I've never been an XBOX fan, and wonder why people would plunk the money on it.

As for the 3 'new' systems: PS3/XBOX360/WII, only thing that's held me back (besides price), is the fact that I heard it's best if you have an HDTV.  Seeing as I don't really have that type of money just yet, I'm sticking to my PS2 and Nintendo64.

Although, I'm looking into getting a Wii.

Is a PS3 worth it?  Overall, yes.  There might not be a whole boatload of a library, but if your PSX and PS2 library is huge, then you can play them in the meanwhile until a new PS3 game comes out that you want.
