Just got the free download of the first 9 tracks from this new instrumental ambient double album, which will be released in early April.  I must say, I'm pretty impressed, yet somewhat surprised that Trent would go for an all out ambient album.  I personally love dark ambient myself but realize it's not that popular with everyone.  I dunno, I guess some songs can just be ruined if forced to go with lyrics, ya know?  It's also nice to know that one of my favorite musicians is still kickin' all kinds of arse.

Anyway, if you're a NIN fan, you might wanna check it out.

I downloaded the album for $5 off the website the other day. It comes with all the album artwork and some other extra stuff, so there's no real need to buy a physical CD, unless you're into that sort of thing.

I think it's pretty cool he's bypassing the whole record company route and offering straight from his website for cheap. Apparently he made a bunch of money, so hopefully more artists will follow suit with him and Radiohead.

Haven't had a chance to really listen to it yet, though.

Sweet. Some of the tracks are a little boring but most pretty cool.
