I change mine about once a week.  I just added some Clint Eastwood "Man With No Name" wallpaper today, and I got to wondering.  What do the rest of you have up right now?  Something movie related?  Or just the default background that came with your computer?

I've pretty much been sticking with Daddio from Gizmos '98.

Occasionally, I'll try some girlie wp, like a picture of Lynda Carter, or some Poser comic I found on the web, etc., but I always keeping going back to this one after a while.

I've got a 22" widescreen monitor and right now I have something called Ice Planet for my wallpaper.  It's a big starfield with a stark blue planet taking up most of the right side of the screen.

I tend to like space and nature pics.

I change mine whenever I get bored with it, which usually varies between a few days and a few weeks.  Many times I will use a particularly stunning photo from APoD.  I also create my own, usually using stills captured from cartoons edited to show just a character and then tiled.

I change mine a lot as well. I'll use anything with a fantastical feel to it, from space ships and outer space shots to spooky castles and monsters. Right now it's a pic of Godzilla from Final Wars.

I change mine all the time too.
I've got one friend who has had the same background on his desktop for 4 years!
That would be unthinkable to me.

My current wallpaper is this pic titled "Paradise Lost".

I use the program Wallpaper Cycler from Nuonsoft.com.  You can set it to any of a number of auto-cycle periods; mine is set to change every half hour, not counting time the screensaver is on.

Right now it's this:

Mine change every few months or so. Right now my desktop has this pic w/o the banner, pricing info, etc:

and I just added the following pic the other day to my laptop:

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

« Reply #9 on: April 12, 2008, 10:35:08 PM »

I'll change mine when I get tired of it, but I just haven't yet. It's what I call the Wall O' Sultry. It's kind of like Hollywood Squares, but with attractive actresses/singers in sultry photos (faces only). Granted, not all are very sultry, but it's difficult to find really good sultry photos. Some spaces aren't filled yet; that's where I keep my program icons.  As I find pictures I think are usable, I add them. Here's a smaller version of my desktop:

(Click it to make it bigger, or pull out a magnifier; Imageshack is only giving me the option to use a thumbnail. What's a better photo host I can link to?)

DERF- I got so disgusted myself with Imageshack...I swithed to Photobucket

I found it to be MUCH faster, more options (as for size, how to to post in various places...ie-blogs,comments,emails etc...)

I've just got some pretty scenery picture that came with my computer.  I usually change to some sort of winter landscape in, well, the winter.

I've got a picture of a sidenotched arrowhead lying on  a bed of gravel in a clear running stream . . . mine tend to bounce back and forth between arrowheads and family pics.

Very cool WP, LilCerb.  I downloaded it.  Makes me want to mix up a martini and put some Martin Denny on the hi-fi.
