I'm a "shadow Boomer" (born in 1963), but that still hurts!! Gotta send it to my older siblings!

Well, my Dad was a WWII veteran who went to college on the GI Bill . . . so that pretty much makes me a boomer.  "Shadow boomers" is the term given to the last five years of the 1945-65 baby boom, those who are too young to have conscious memory of JFK's assassination.
The tweeners started about 1966 or so.

No, "tweeners" are between "Baby Boomers," and "Generation X."   1965 is usually the dividing line for those two "generations."  Tweeners are the end of the Boomers and beginning of the "GenXrs".  So, think of them as 1960s babies.  TeddyR  Lookingup

I was born in 1967 so I don't know what that makes me. I don't act my age, and people say I look a lot younger than I am. I suppose that's a compliment.  Smile

I'm sure many nations may of had a baby boom after WWII, but I always thought of this as mostly an American reference because of the apparent peace (what about the Korean War?), prosperity, and population growth after  WWII. Someone help me with this as I don't know all the details.

What other countries had a baby boom after WWII? Aren't third world countries always booming? We cover it in the news because its suppose to effect the U.S. in the coming years with all the "baby boomer's" getting older and what to do with Social Security and Health Care for these people.

Trevor your always welcome to join the baby boom, but you may of missed it by a few years and continents. Just remember to bring an extra pair of shorts. TeddyR

Well I'm a fine vintage 1963 so I'm a tail end baby boomer or a tweener depending on your reference. I don't think old, feel old, act old but I'm sure if you're 20 right now I'm old. I know that when I was in my early 20's I thought those that were in their late 30's and beyond were old.

Well, if you come to America Trevor you won't need underpants. We all secretly don't wear them. This has been the key to our nations success. We're just like France we don't wear underpants.
