In the rare chance that one of you has ever visited my CargoShip website, you may have noticed an award at the bottom of the page:
This was actually designed and donated by a member of this forum.
Why not take that one step further and make it sort of a 'seal of disapproval'.
I have a website, presently just the index page (the links go nowhere), that the idea is to be able to nominate a website, your's or somebody else's (I suspect the latter to be more of the case), that is truly ugly.
Of course, the website itself should reflect that very principle.
http://duwa.biz (beware: sunglasses are recommended; if not outright just turning your head
)
The website is not fleshed out, but you get the idea.
I thought it might be interesting to see what some of you could come up with for websites you consider to be ugly, even hideously so.
Since the idea for the nomination process would be to include a comment about the design, with appropriately sarcastic remarks, feel free to do so here.
For inspiration, here are some remarks originally made about the CargoShip's first design:
"Wow; I haven't seen a design like that...well...since the 80s."
"Proof that not everybody understands the meaning of the word 'website'."
"Reminds me of bad 60s sci-fi television; too bad this one wasn't 'Lost in the Web'."P.S.: Okay, smartasses, it would not be funny to nominate the CargoShip.
