This is actually pretty cool!   Thumbup
Apparently, the Japanese creators of these fights are trying to get it made into a TV show.

Check it out...

Stag Beetle vs. Scorpion
Small | Large

Giant Centipede vs. Scorpion
Small | Large

Spider vs. Centipede
Small | Large

Wolf Spider vs. Praying Mantis
Small | Large

What do you think?
Would you watch this if they made it into a TV show?

But where are the overly endowed girls in school uniforms?

Someone* much wittier than myself said something like "If you can think of it, the Japanese have already done it.......with school girls!"

I'm afraid not, as I'm afraid of what it might lead to. Televised bullfighting, anyone? I do know, but whether it is the Japanese or not, I do not know, Asians are also very big on cricket fighting.

What the hell is the big, black spidery looking thing with claws that fights a mantis on the website?

I have not seen an image, but would guess it would have to be a whipscorpion.  If not, possible a sunspider - but you describe claws do I would guess whipscorpion.

Yeah, that would be a whipscorpion.  I looked the thing up and... damn, I know I hate arachnids for a reason.
